As a guarantee for each product, over 63,000 m2 of surface area, of which 24,000 m2 is covered (2,500 m2 of offices and laboratories, 14,000 m2 of workshops, 8,000 m2 of warehouse) and 39,000 m2 uncovered: these are the numbers that express Maraldi’s capacity in terms of infrastructure. The company’s potential, however, is not limited by size, but is tightly linked to quality and proven by the best procedures and solutions aimed at achieving excellence. The company has its own internal laboratories for the testing and inspection of materials and welds, a furnace for thermal treatment of vessels up to 8 meters in diameter and 24 meters long, automatic machines for welding-overlay on internal diameters from 38 mm up to 5 meters, and 1,000 ton hydraulic presses for sphere plates forming.

Since 1995 the company has certified its own Quality System, which is currently updated to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standards as well as American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards, of which it owns the U, U2 and S stamps. End of July 2010 the new certifications for “UNI EN ISO 14001” concerning the environment and “BS OHSAS 18001 – Ed. 2007” for health and safety at work has been reached through S.G.S. Inspection Agency.

The company’s orientation to excellence also emerges from the quality of the documentation that accompanies the construction of each single equipment: the final dossiers containing control plans, test and inspection reports, and certificates with traceability maps so that a product’s history can be reconstructed at any time, reporting all the processing phases and workmanship, tests carried out, tools used, and evaluations done by Maraldi’s technicians and third party inspectors.
Finally in terms of quality, research also plays an important role. The company is constantly seeking to optimize its products at every level by using the most suitable materials, the most advanced technologies and the best processes.
Maraldi is always striving to find the best way to guarantee optimal performance in terms of both quality and cost, always respecting deadlines.

Developing potential, certification and research.
In this sense Maraldi has shown itself to be always ready to take the opportunities inherent in particular market situations.
For example when faced with difficulty in sourcing lamination clad steel plates, it met the challenge by using electroslag strip cladding technology in weld-overlay and thus acquiring the necessary skills to produce its own clad plates, so as to be able to continue to guarantee its clients efficient services in terms of deadlines as well as costs.
